Charlieplexing is a technique used to drive multiplexed display using the tri state logic of a microcontroller.

Problems with Charlieplexing: - Requirement of tri state logic - Refresh rate - Cannot be used to drive higher number of LEDs - Cannot use LEDs with different forward voltages
